The current product intent is to use information to operate discovery pages, support account access, let mosque teams manage their listings, answer support requests, and improve the reliability of the service.

A core part of Mosq is the distinction between directory coverage and mosque-managed updates. Some information is public because it helps worshippers discover local mosques, while other information may be added or maintained by a verified mosque team.

Where content is intended for public listing pages, users should assume it can be shown to site visitors. Mosque teams should avoid submitting sensitive personal information through listing fields unless the product explicitly asks for it.

Documents uploaded during the mosque registration process (such as charity certificates or supporting evidence) are retained for 90 days after claim approval or 30 days after claim rejection, then automatically deleted.

If you subscribe to notifications for a mosque that has not yet published prayer times, your email address is stored until the mosque publishes times or for a maximum of 12 months, whichever comes first.

If you provide a Charity Commission number during registration, we validate it against the UK Charity Commission register to verify your organisation. This validation confirms registration status only and does not imply endorsement by the Charity Commission.

Mosq may rely on infrastructure and service providers to host the site, deliver application features, and process support or account-related workflows. The final legal policy will describe those arrangements in more precise terms.
